Many people have experienced significant, sometimes extraordinary and unbelievable benefits from practicing Chow Qigong. You may read Dr. Chow's book or read testimonials to learn about some of these stories. Here are our stories:
 Vickie at Glacier Nat'l Park

Vickie's Story

In November 2003, Fibromyalgia issues were so significant that I could not walk more than a block. The condition was so severe that simple tasks became burdensome. Was introduced to Qigong and at times had to practice sitting down in order to complete the exercises. In addition walking without pain became impossible due to spinal spondylolisthesis in lumbar region, disc bulging in thoracic region, stenosis, multilevel degenerative disc disease and mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the left hip. These medical issues required medical intervention.

In the summer of 2004 Met Dr. Chow and started practicing the 12 Chow Qigong exercises.

Immediately my vitality improved and I was starting to be able to have more normal range of motion without pain. As I grew stronger I was able to increase the length of the workouts.

Improvement was so significant I was able to do an 11½ - mile strenuous hike through Glacier National Park in September 2004. The credit goes to Chow Qigong for helping me to heal and become stronger.

Taylor cooks up a healthy feast!

Taylor's Story

Taylor has struggled with illness since infancy. He was diagnosed at various times with congenital hypotonia, hearing loss due to frequent ear infections, infection by the RSV virus, severe eczema and asthma.

His low energy and constant exhaustion made it impossible for him to stay awake past 7:30 in the evening. Last year Taylor was hospitalized five times for flu, pneumonia, and asthma. His attitude and ability to cope with social anxiety was significantly limited. On July 4th, Taylor was unable to walk five blocks from his home to town.

Dr. Chow agreed to mentor Taylor and began working with him in July, 2004. The transformation in just two months has been astounding. His strength and vitality have improved significantly. Taylor is now physically active and often stays up until 9pm. He quickly overcomes flu and asthma symptoms. He has also transitioned into public high school and is a productive and successful freshman. In August, his family went to Immigrant Pass (elevation 9870 ft.) and he completed a 3-mile hike. In September, his family went to Mt. Eddy (elevation 9000 feet) and he completed a 12-mile hike!

Taylor also is highly sensitive to energy fields in himself and others. Taylor's goal is to become a catalyst to aid others in their healing. Taylor's desire is to support each person's personal growth and transformation to wellness in body, mind and spirit.

Meeting Dr. Chow

Vickie and Toby both met Dr. Chow in Ashland, OR, while she was in town working with Taylor. We returned to Ashland and participated in a three-day Chow Qigong Basic Skills Workshop.

After practicing we feel more energized, relaxed, and healthy. We decided to start a study group in our home city, Portland, in order to learn, practice, and share the benefits of Chow Qigong with others.

We would be delighted to welcome anyone interested in Qigong in the Portland area to join us.
